09 Jul Refurbishment of The TCR Maintenance Facility at Heathrow
Thomas Interiors are pleased to have recently delivered the refurbishment of a 300 sqm First Floor Office in the TCR Vehicle Maintenance Facility at Exeter Road, Heathrow Airport.
TCR is Europe’s leading provider of Ground Support Equipment Services and plays a crucial role in the day to day activities for many Airlines operating at Britain’s busiest Airport.
Andrew Allison – Thomas Interiors Senior Project Manager stated:
This project saw Thomas Interiors act as Principal Contractor for the amalgamation of two separate offices, located on the First Floor of a relatively new facility that TCR have obtained at Heathrow Airport. The first challenge for our team was that we would be working within an occupied building and that our activities must not disrupt the day to day running of the facility, such is its importance to TCR and the wider Heathrow Community. Our team initially got to work stripping out both sides of the office back to shell and core, including the removal of both Electrical and Mechanical equipment. The Fit-Out element of our project meant that we needed to co-ordinate various trades, whilst working alongside our clients nominated HVAC and Electrical Contractors. I must say that I am very pleased with the quality of our end product and I hope that the initial 16 members of staff enjoy their new offices and meeting facilities.
Bernie Thomas – Thomas Interiors Managing Director continued:
Every project comes with its own unique challenges and I am very pleased with the way in which our team went about completing this project. The new Offices are a far cry from the facilities that we found when we arrived on site and it is credit to the professionalism and workmanship of our team that they have created such a beautiful workplace for the guys from TCR to work within.
